So you are running full speed no slow downs? Or just no bugs.glitches.

still the same slow downs but alot less for me. I really like R3941. FPS are stable for me 90% of the time.

I haven't tested the latest builds, but the commit that disabled CPU swaps, it got tons of +1s... what did it fix? (Too lazy to try it right now) I read it fixed "jerking" (I assume like the lagging when the castle stage switches area in SSBB) but were there also fixes for this game? (I can't really think of any bugs except for the sound)

there are quite a few graphical glitches in comparison to the wii version. most of them are particle glitches or the highlight lighting effect that is used in the geme for atmospheres or the edge of a planet on the horizon. a couple bumpmaps are missing aswell. to sum it up there are tons of lighting glitches which few will notice and others will not because they have never played the actual version

I knew of those, just figured graphics bugs weren't caused by CPU swapping. (Not that I really know what exactly it did)

Anyway I was really just hinting toward the sound problem. It's a major issue for all games.

That message appears if you press any button of the 4-dir-cross-thing of the wiimote... maybe you should change the button mapping.

And to your second question... lol, you save after you get a star, like normal on Wii (did you ever played that game or did you ever play any Mario Game???^^).
