Without the Sonic Unleashed Hack (which is gone now) it's no longer something that can be fixed by a custom projection hack afaik.

What was the code for the custom projection hack for this game? Custom projection hack can still be used via the EditGame button under game properties.

It wasn't a projection hack.

The Wiki page for Sonic Colors say it is, and is fixable by enabling the projection hack. Problem is, projection hack has been removed and games that require it needs to be enabled manually by adding the correct code in the edit game button.

The Sonic Unleashed hack, unlike other projection hacks, was hard-coded into the emulator (like the Twilight Princess Hack, for instance) and wasn't something you could enable/disable. Whether there is an alternate way to do with projection hacks, I dunno.

If you use a recent master build, you shouldn't even need this (at least with D3D).

For Open gl try using the projection hack put in 4.0.2. for d3d9:
[Video]
ProjectionHack = 1
PH_ZFar = 0.01

This got the HUD to show for me, but for some reason the game thinks I'm using a Gamecube controller so the wii remote does not work once the game loads up. Any way to change this? I have real wiimote setup and works fine with other games.

Yeah, just go into Dolphin config -> GamceCube -> Take out the Controller in Port 1

Disable the gamecube controller in the settings manually or use the gameinis to do it: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-unofficial-howto-using-gameini-settings-per-game
Specifically adding in your local empty gameini file (right click game iso in dolpin iso browser and select properties, then click the bottom left button in the page that appears which will bring an empty text file):

[Controls]
PadType0 = 0

Will disable the gamecube controller just for this game every time you boot it to not have conflicts.
