Thanks, works like a charm!
[Wii] Sonic Colors

I know that this game can be played better using Direct3D, but the Mac version of Dolphin doesn't have Direct3D, because it is a Windows-only feature. So, providing that Mac users don't use Dolphin for debugging, the only choice is OpenGL. There's another problem when using OpenGL no one has mentioned (Yes, I've looked everywhere, it isn't even mentioned on wiki). Sonic Team logo and the controller screen as the game starts are missing and all HUD-related stuff in-game are missing. See these three screenshots for example:
This is how it things look in-game. I can't know how many rings I have, or how much boost is filled, or the score, extra lives etc... Do you see this colourful thing next to Sonic? This is what remains from the end of the loading screen. Normally, a frame on the edges & corners of the screen should be visible. However, I'm not just talking about this, my question is something else, related to this of course. Am I the only one experiencing this? As it states in my computer capabilities (in my profile), my Macbook has an "Intel Iris Graphics" graphics card, not an NVIDIA one, so I'm just asking if this happens only on Intel graphics cards, or it happens with OpenGL on any graphics card.

It is a global open gl issue. As i wrote in the previous page:
For Open gl try using the projection hack put in 4.0.2. that got removed in the gameini: [Video] ProjectionHack = 1 PH_ZFar = 0.01 11-19-2014, 09:19 AM
Question, can I run Sonic Colors well with these specs?
Intel Core i5 4200U @ 1.6GHz 2.3 GHz 8 GB RAM Geforce 820m 11-19-2014, 12:11 PM
I will tentatively say yes if you keep it in turbo mode.
If you already own that computer, dump your game and give it a run to see how it performs. If you are looking to buy, look for a computer that doesn't use an Ultra Low Voltage (ULV) CPU that ends in U or Y. Make sure it ends with M (10-19-2014, 02:11 AM)Link_to_the_past Wrote: It is a global open gl issue. As i wrote in the previous page: is this related to the similar D3D HUD issue? https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/pull/1392 (edit: I add this one too for reference: https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/pull/1366 ) What games do I need to apply that fix to? Also in OpenGL raster images (intro video, etc) is pixelated, as if a filter (bilinear or so) wasn't applied at all like in D3D despite using the same settings. Maybe I would be better off using D3D for this game?? 12-04-2014, 05:11 AM
It's probably related to this: https://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/is...il?id=7668

You don't understand; that's an EFB effect in the distance; it's not about 3D as much as it is anything in the distance.
