I got working canon-gun controls for mouse. Solution: don't bind any wiimote/nunchak swings and tilts, bind only four IR actions:
Up = `Cursor Y-`
Down = `Cursor Y+`
Left = `Cursor X-`
Right = `Cursor X+`
and lookout that no Shake buttons bound to Cursor. Same solution goes for gamepad stick.

Successfully completed Giants (SKYE52) on my i7-4770 + gtx760 + portal of power from Spyro's Adventure PC-version + Spyro's Adventure starter pack (Spyro, Gill Grunt, Trigger Happy).

Problems and solutions:
1. If your Dolphin crashes often switch game to windowed mode (but you still can stretch it).
2. Don't use quicksave feature because of conflicts with portal of power - you risk corrupt your game progress. But you can backup profile folder (C:\Users\<name>\Documents\Dolphin Emulator) and then risk as you want

I'm experiencing massive flickering graphics in the beginning of the game on dolphin 5 latest, is there a fix for this? The wiki lists no known problems nor can I see any mention of the issue while searching, seems highly unlikely that I'm the only one experiencing this.

Love to hear some tips for this

If you right-click the game in Dolphin's game list > Properties > Verify Tab > Verify, do you have a good dump of the game? If not, you'll have to re-dump your game.

Otherwise, check to make sure all your PC drivers are up to date. If that doesn't help, take screenshots of your Dolphin Settings and Graphics config, and upload them to a image hosting sit (like Imgur) and link them here so we can check your setup. (You haven't met the minimum requirement of posts to upload images directly to to forum)

On linux, game refuses to continue after it checks for the portal of power. It knows its there since unplugging it shows the portal not connected screen, plugging it back in still shows the white screen. Same goes for spyro's adventure
