A few years ago I tried playing the game on Dolphin and it ran fine on my machine but I couldn't progress after a certain point. The thing is that I hate the wiimote with a passion so I played with the emulated wiimote but I just couldn't do the moves to shake off monsters. I've read that there was significant progress in emulating motion controls since then so does that mean that SM is fully playable now without the wiimote / nunchuk stuff?

Just tried this one out on the latest build. I noticed a couple issues.
1. There seems to be a pretty faint white "flicker" at the top and bottom of the screen 2. When taking a picture using the camera phone there is sometimes a bit of graphical corruption during the process. Anyone else see this? I'm using DX11, but at least the flicker happens on OGL as well. 09-15-2021, 05:06 PM

I once had terrible slow down in this game for years, but today I tried use a "portable.txt" to make every settings restored to default and this game runs smoothly in 60fps with no problem.
maybe this could be considered as a solution to the preformance issue that many ppl ran into while emulating Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and didn't found a clue about settings? Cuz with the exact setting I got a huge improvement in the framerate. 02-21-2023, 12:09 PM
Does anyone know how to get rid of these artifacts you see at the top? I tried DX12, DX11, OGL & Vulkan to no avail
And yes, I did disable 'Store EFB Copies to Texture Only'. 02-22-2023, 06:49 PM

Hello! In order to progress in Shattered Memories, one needs to pick up a beer/soda can by holding the A+B buttons at the same time, and then using the joystick of the nunchuck to turn the beer/soda can upside down. For whatever reason, I cannot perform this action. My nunchuck works, as I have used it to move my character this far into the game, it works in other games, i've never had an error about it disconnecting, and i've even tried plugging in other wii remotes and different nunchucks. I have tried to reset all of my dolphin emulator settings as well as tried different beta/developer builds. I've tried to using my keyboard/mouse, i've gotting everything working, but when I get up to this beer/can section I simply can't make the can go upside down. I've tried USA, Europe and Japanese ROMs of the game. I normally use the Dolphinbar + A real nintendo remote with Wii MotionPlus Inside (built-in) and a real nunchuck.
What the hell am I missing? Am I dumb? There is someone else experiencing the same issue 14 years ago https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-si...ilent+hill Someone suggested to, and I quote: "You need - Stitsk setting - in Nukchuk. Press and hold down the button.. sometimes you have often pressed.." But I literally do not comprehend what they are trying to say at all. I need to hold the A+B buttons and not tap I guess??? |
