See? The Wiimote works fine. All it needs are 2 strong IR sources. ANY IR source works for this.
the wiimote was confused: the sensor bar , or the 2 mirrored images of the sun

i could use both to the point the sun moved and the mirror images made the wiimote confused as the mirrored images were kinda in the way of the sensor bar
bottom line, any IR light source x2 will work, even the sun
