I haven't seen anything around here about rugby league 3, just wondering if anyones had any luck with getting it running yet.

Boots fine.
Have to tick "Use Real XFB" otherwise the graphics flicker and the game is unplayable.
The copy protection is triggered using the emulator so only Quick Game is available.
Videos are slightly corrupted in both OpenGL and D3D. Software mode runs them fine, though incredibly slowly and only updating the screen briefly. The look of the graphical corruption on the videos seems to change every time I boot the game.

Otherwise the game appears to run quite well. Granted most of the time it only plays at ~50% speed on my Phenom 9950.

Thanks for that, hopefully the protection will be by-passed someday. I'll try the setup you mentioned though.

Shame the protection for this game is a hard one to crack. All previous version of Rugby league going back to the PS2 and Xbox 1 have had protection that was near impossible to crack. How can a small Oz develop do this yet Nintendo have nothing like it. Huh

Runs damn slow though even in the quick play mode which is the only one available.

Sorry for posting in this old thread, i just wanted to know if the security has been bypassed to play RL3

cheers.

EDIT

I have got the game working fine. Just the FPS is at 50 and it is not at full speed but it is barely noticed. The other problem is that not all game options are able to be used. it is just like it is a demo and can only use instant action. If their is away to fix it through the .iso or a save file let me know.

thanks.

Using Tools>>Install WAD to install the updates that come on the game.
Not sure which ones will make it work.
But I've seen it run with nothing locked after all WADs were Installed off the RL3 disk.

Has anyone managed to get this running on dolphin without modes being locked out?

I have had a backup of this running fine on a soft modded wii and the original disc also runs fine too.

However Dolphin is obviously being flagged up by this games protection as modded in some way and locking the game modes out.

Is there any way around this? Someone said change the wii system or something, but not sure what that means.

Anyone help?

Figured it out. It definitely is possible to get this running without modes being locked out.
