[Wii] Rock Band 3

I've played Rock Band 3 in two different versions of Dolphin with different results. Also I'm playing without black textures.
What happened to RB3 support in newer versions of Dolphin? I've made a video about it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkaBnX-ECww 06-30-2014, 06:07 AM
If no one reports the issues with the game, there's no much anyone can do to fix things if they don't have it.

In other words, no one noticed things gone wrong because no one cared.
I'm still wondering what caused it. And according to wiki, it actually works with the latest version. So I suppose it's related to graphics card, then. I'll try it on another machine as soon as I have the chance. 06-30-2014, 06:33 AM
No, it's not that no one cared, it's just that no one on the development team owns the game to test it. I only have rockband 2, and I don't have any of the instruments for it.

I meant the users, not the team
I'm wondering if RB2 has the same issues, I'll try to manage to find someone who has it. I've also tried to bind the guitar keys on keyboard, Frets on Fire style, so no instruments are really needed. 06-30-2014, 06:57 AM
I'll try it out sometime if this game has issues. If I can help make more issue reports, then it's well worth hte effort to get it up and running. Thank you for pointing this out. If we had more users point out bugs like this, it'd be a lot easier to hunt for regressions.

So I've obtained RB2 from a friend and tried it. It has exactly the same issues. Again, it runs flawlessly in Dolphin 3.5, though.
I'm having alot of success with this game, but an annoying issue that makes this success pretty lame for me at the moment.
I'm trying to load DLCs/Custom songs through NAND. I've tried with a couple of different revisions, NAND files the C3 forums suggested for dolphin (forums for custom songs), and of course my own NAND dump. I've got 3 different scenarios happened accross all those combinations of revisions and NANDs: 1-Game loads as if no DLCs existed 2-Game says that Wii system memory is full, ignored DLCs/save game 3-Game appears to load 14 DLCs (loading bar appears) but I really only put 1 and it doesn't load, still at 83 songs. Halp? (Also, the MIDI adapter works with the workaround for the WiiU GC Controller adapter driver and online play works, servers are still up, connected with a random player... XD, if anyone cares to edit the wiki) 05-26-2016, 04:51 PM
With the DLC stuff, have you tried extracting the wads manually and installing them via Dolphin's system menu?
You can update the wiki yourself, I can't play it for another 2 days while I wait for my guitar to arrive. |
