Isn't this just the best game on the Wii? Big Grin
Now I'm actually pretty good. I guess the input lag made it harder for me than it had to be one, two years ago.
Now this game works almost perfectly; the only levels that have little issues are the Micro-Row and the Shrimp Shuffle. But with EFB2RAM and/or virtual XFB, those issues are gone (only there are two lines in the Shrimp Shuffle level, but that's really minor). This should get a four star rating.

I can confirm game works perfectly with EFB2RAM and XFM enabled. Just wish game wasn't so hard Sad

It's not so bad, you do have to practice a bit, though. I've got suberb medals in pretty much every level Big Grin

The games that have errors are the following:

Micro-Row (Flickers black over and over during tutorial, and during game it's completely frozen.)
Micro-Row 2 (Same issue)
Shrimp Shuffle (Same issue)

Also want to know that using External Frame Buffer (XFB) May fix these issues somewhat, it causes significant input lag. Virtual and Real cause input lag. Tested via multiple controllers and via multiple Dolphin versions, including Dolphin 4.0-8201.

I get no input lag with virtual XFB, but maybe it needs a stronger CPU. Micro-Row also needs "Store EFB Copies to Texture Only" disabled to not get the frozen graphics.
With this, though, all those levels work flawlessly for me (except for a very thin vertical black line in Shrimp Shuffle, but that's purely cosmetical) and I can 100% them.

Well, I am running i7 3770k although it's not overclocked. I actually play on a gaming monitor and can notice the input lag it brings, it also brings it towards other games like Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It may be unnoticeable to most, but as someone who participates in tournaments I can actually feel difference with it on compared to when it's off.

huh, ok... well, Rhythm Heaven Fever is not very forgiving, so since I can still get through the levels without a mistake, the lag can't be so bad.

I don't think your CPU's speed should have an affect on input lag.

This may well be affected by differences in your overall setup though. IE, if you're using a very low-lag monitor, that might make up for normal lag imposed by emulator settings.

Because of the issues described in the wiki, I edited the game ini (via game properties and then clicking 'edit config') and put this in it:

[Video_Hacks]
EFBAccessEnable = True
EFBToTextureEnable = False
UseXFB = True
UseRealXFB = False

However, the issue in Shrimp Shuffle is still there. It's not when I enable XFB (virtual) in Dolphin's graphics settings. Shouldn't my ini entries do exactly the same (the last two)?

UseXFB and UseRealXFB need to be in the [Video_Settings] section, not the [Video_Hacks] section.
