Whoops, wrong terminology.
Don't use the latest STABLE build, but the latest dev build.

Whoops, I didn't even realize the difference. I'll give the latest dev build (4.0 r611) a shot when I get home tonight and report back. I'll back up my Dolphin Emulator folder just in case, but does the dev build run off of the same saves, settings, etc... that are in the 4.0.2 dolphin emulator folder? Thanks for the replies.

After doing some testing on the latest dev build, I still get similar performance as 4.0.2. I did notice a significant improvement when turning down AF on this game though. At 3x IR and 16x AF there was significant slowdown (played train derailment 2 to test). However when I turned AF down to 8x, the slowdown was all but eliminated, it looks like that might be the solution for now.

I'm on 4.0-7184 and the choppy behaviour is still present.
Mostly when turning around but even slight changes to the camera angle cause a little drop in fps.
Some people say that it could be a motion blur effect but haven't checked that on my wii yet.
Maybe there's a problem trying to work out the camera path, since it's a rail shooter and the framedrop happens when the angles are changed.

I would like to help find a solution!

No changes made to the standard settings.

Small update:
I could reproduce a stutter every single time when shooting a lamp (or triggering lightning effects such as a headshot)
I then turned on the option: Skip EFB access from CPU
This almost eliminated all stuttering events. There are still some stutters albeit very short.

I didn't notice any graphical changes but haven't taken a detailed look yet.

Tested on build 4.0-7361

The game stutters and drops frames on all video and audio backends for me even on completely vanilla, standard settings on the latest development build. The Skip EFB Access from CPU setting doesn't seem to affect much either way.

Hello everyone, I made an account just for this problem. I searched Google for an answer, or even a mention, but I found nothing. There was 1 Youtube comment vaguely about this that suggested trying Windowed mode, but that did not help.

I am using a mouse to emulate the Wii remote, and it works perfectly fine except for when the game demands an A/B/AB quick time event. I can hit the middle mouse button in response to a "shake" qte, but I cannot pass any qte that asks for either a or b buttons. I have no idea why this is happening, and the buttons work perfectly fine otherwise. This is a major problem and I cannot get past the first boss, the Scorpion.

If anyone has any ideas as to why this happening, please let me know. Game is unplayable until I get this resolved.

I want to play this game with the sinden lightgun and it works fine. I could get rid of the crosshair (as with most games) by dumping the crosshair, making it transparent and loading it as custom texture. However, even without the crosshair, this game has some red fading trail (I guess it's not a texture) that's following your aim; so it's pretty much like having a crosshair (which then defeats the purpose of aiming with your gun). Anyone here think it'd be possible to make a cheat code or something to get rid of that red dot thingy?

Dolphin crash at launch when using the 60fps gecko code on first page of this thread.

There are any other codes?

Using latest dev build and pal version.
