Get a Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge quad and OC it to around 4.5Ghz if you want better performance and less noise with LLE.

Last time I tried the music/sound was almost perfect with LLE. I could play for a long time before any errors showed up.

Hi everyone. Encountering the following issue. First my setup:
CPU: i5 3570k, overclocked to 4.2 GHz GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 560 The issue: Up until this point the game runs smoothly at 30 FPS. After rescuing Ashley, when I get back to the village (it's nighttime and raining), the game slows down to 20-25 FPS. Is changing to HLE for audio the only option for getting it to run smoothly in these sections? I'm using DirextX 9, 3xresolution. Thanks. 06-19-2012, 03:11 PM

Does the PAL version of RE4 Wii have the 60 Hz mode like the PS2 and Gamecube versions? If it does how to activate it?

I am having the same problem as chrisdecuba I also have an overclocked core i5 3570k and a hd6790 but during the rain and fog areas the game slows down excessively. Even when I use Hle the audio doesnt Stutter but the game slows down. So what is the way to overcome Zthis? Its extremely slow at those points. Will getting a more powerful graphics card fix it? I am using 3.0-716 build X64.[/u]

For those having the scratchy noises problems with DSP HLE, try to use XAudio2 instead of DSound. It doesn't remove the noises completely, but it is way better (for me) than DSound.
