Hi,

The game seems to freeze after you place Ashley on the floor panel in the castle when you run over to activate the other floor panel. This would be the part where you go down the stairs in the large hall right after meeting Salazaar for the first time.

I'm going to try it with another image of the game in case it was corrupted but I just thought I'd mention it here in case anyone else had encountered this.

I'm using 6115 SVN build, with the PAL version of the game and the D3D11 plugin.

I beg to differ.

I've ran so many versions of the game on PC and they all freeze somewhere around the village.

Both the Ubisoft site and the unofficial patch site say it will only run on Win XP and Win Vista.

I'd be interested to know how you go it to run?

What hardware do you have? Are you using Win7 x64?

Well, I have played the game as Resident Evil 3. I like to play it and another thing is that its designs and graphics clarity which looks fabulous. I am thankful to share the image of the Resident Evil 4.

Then maybe it's an issue with your system, other software, or drivers, this game runs just fine on both Windows Vista and Windows 7 for me. There's no difference in compatibility between Vista and Windows 7 since Windows 7 is built on the same underlying codebase as Vista was. I can also run games older than Resident Evil 4 just fine, I own a collection of about 80 - 100 PC games all of which run fine except a few that need workarounds to install and run on Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Just because Ubisoft and another site mention that it "probably" won't work on Windows 7, doesn't mean it won't work. That only means that the game is only supported on those operating systems, not supported is not the same as not working.

I'm simply going on my own experience and what others say. The general consensus seemed to show that it was not compatible.

You are correct that it depends upon your system and hardware which is why I asked what you were using.
