Wii remote with mountain lion is not pairing with dolphin.

I paired it with my MBP using the bluetooth discovery fine. However dolphin does not recognise it.

I tried clicking refresh and holding 1+2 but its not working.

Any fixes please??

What kind of Wii Remote is it? Official? Unofficial? Official with a sync button on the exterior? Playstation Move wand? TELL US DAMMIT

Actually, try disconnecting it and unpairing it in OS X's Bluetooth preference pane, then, while the controller's off (pull out the batteries and put 'em back in, just in case) hold 1 + 2 and click Refresh a few times until it connects. If that doesn't work, blame your remote for being third-party/one of those newer -TR remotes (with the exterior sync button)/a friggin' PS Move wand.

Its the official remote as far as I can tell with the 1+2 buttons

Its called the Nintendo RVL-CNT-01

It has a 1+2 and a red power button.

I did disconnect it, unpaired it with OS X. then I tried your refresh method by holding 1+2. It worked "connected" but then when I started a game, it said connecting.... but the controller never got recognised!

Press Cmd+1 (or 2/3/4 for the other three remotes) once or twice when in-game and see if it works then. (Also make sure that slot 1 and whatever slots you're using are set to "Real Wiimote".)

I followed your instructions again and now it works!!

THANK YOU!

I unpaired it, then reopened and tried to pair whilst pressing 1+2.

Will the device always be paired with Dolphin now?

Basically I want to put my wii games in my steam so i can play them from my sofa but will I have to always repair the wii remote?

The thing won't autoconnect to Dolphin or anything, so you'll have to use this procedure every time - feel free to experiment with it and skip steps you find to be unnecessary.

Putting individual Dolphin games in Steam isn't exactly possible yet on OS X unless you build yourself a nogui build of Dolphin (which is impossible right now) and set up shortcuts to each game manually, so keep around a wireless keyboard/mouse.
