A little while back I had to swap out my MOBO due to the one I was using dying. That motherboard had built in bluetooth that I used to connect my Wii Remotes to my PC to play my games in dolphin. My new motherboard sadly does not have Bluetooth which has left me a bit high and dry on that front.

Well yesterday I got a Steam Link to play my PC games on my big tv and I found out that Steam Link has the ability to pair bluetooth devices (which I immediately used to connect a PS4 controller that I now use). I'm wondering if there's any way to use the Steam Links bluetooth connection to connect my wii remotes to dolphin? And if so how?

Not possible as far as I know. Buy a USB bluetooth dongle for your PC.

What's the best option for that? I don't need a dolphin bar as my wiiU is hooked up to the same TV and I can just use the sensor bar for it. I will also need something strong enough to get a signal in another room. (approximately 20ish feet)

Maybe. The Steam Link supposedly has a USB Passthrough feature.

In theory, this will allow you to plug in your Bluetooth dongle and it will act as a Bluetooth dongle on the host machine, allowing Wiimote use. All the attempts to make it work that I've seen appeared to fail, but all the attempts were over a year ago so it might be worth investigating the Steam Link and VirtualHere for Dolphin use again.

Worst case scenario, if your PC isn't too far away from your TV, you could attempt to pair the Wiimote to a Bluetooth dongle in the host machine and not the Steam Link. Some people have said they were able to get it to work through a wall or maybe two. Then just hook your sensor bar near your TV and you'll be good to go. That, ore maybe get a really long USB extension cable and hope you get lucky.

Steam Link and VirtualHere work somewhat well. I've tried it, and it works, but in most cases it will be too laggy. For Wii Fit, it worked well, but sometimes it was way too laggy to be playable. It's not an ideal solution.
