Hello there.

I've gotten a lot of experience with TASing now, and have often used TAS input for some runs in Mario Kart Wii. One problem I face is that the TAS input only works for GCN and not a wii mote or other controller. I need to simulate another controller because a certain glitched track I want to make a speedrun on only works great with Wii Wheel, which I cannot use because tilting in Dolphin is too slow.

Is there any way some form of this could be put in Dolphin? Thanks Smile

The guy who wrote a lot of the gc tas input code was planning on implementing one for wiimote, but not sure if he's still going to.

Sadly no. I am the developer who had worked on the GC, and had at one point made part of the wii input. Never committed it because it was too buggy. The major reason I never finished it at the time was my belief that TASing on wii was still too unstable, and desynced too often.

If this is no longer the case, I may try to look back into it. However now that I have a job programming, and am in college. I don't much time to work on dolphin.

As far as I know, Wiimotes no longer desync Dolphin. A variable that wasn't being saved during savestates was found, and once it was added, people said it worked a lot better.
