Wii Remote Plus rvl-036 Not Staying Connected with Mayflash Dolphin Bar

I have a Princess Peach rvl-036 Wii Remote and it's not staying connected when I start a game. I have followed a large amount of tutorials and it still doesn't work. When I start Donkey Kong Returns, the controller disconnects. If I go to Tools -> Connect Controller, it connects then disconnects right away. I have set the controller to be used as a Real Wii Remote.

I'm using the Mayflash Dolphin, have synced the controller, and put the Dolphinbar to mode 4.

Do you have Steam installed? Try exiting Steam from the system tray icon before opening Dolphin and see if the problem persists...

Having Steam installed doesn't mess up the connection. What I find also helps is to go into the controller settings and click refresh after having already connected to a game. Sometimes, I also have to go into Tools at the top and connect each controller. Same games only let me connect multiple controllers after reaching to a certain stage in the menu.

Also, FYI, is working the same on Windows 11 as Windows 10 except the rare case of certain games glitching.
