Hello,
I recently bought a new Wii remote since mine has issues with the nunchuck port. It is a standard Wii remote RVL-003 without motion plus which I bought on Amazon. I followed the procedures on how to connect my Wii remote to my computer with a bluetooth adapter. Upon going to the control panel and clicking on "Add a device", I press the sync button on my Wii remote, as well as having Dolphin opened, with the "Continuous Scanning" option checked. Unfortunately, my computer does not detect my Wii remote, no matter what I try. I'm not sure where the issue comes from, as this works perfectly fine with my older Wii remote; upon doing the same actions, my computer detects it properly and it works on Dolphin (note: the old Wii remote is a RVL-036 with the motionplus inside).
It also doesn't properly connect to the Dolphinbar I recently bought. My Dolphinbar is set on the 4th mode. connected to my computer, in front of my screen, below it. As I press the sync button on the Dolphinbar and then on my Wii remote, either one of 2 scenarios follow:
1: The Wii remote blue lights flash and stay lit for roughly a second, before turning off, and after that, if I press the sync button or the 1 and 2 button at the same time, the blue lights do not light up, and the sync light on the Dolphinbar stops flashing and turns off.
2: The Wii remote connects to the Dolphinbar for less than a second, before the blue lights turn off and no button can light them up again. Oddly enough, the Dolphinbar sync light stays lit, despite the Wii remote not working.
The batteries aren't the issues, as they're chargeable batteries I've charged fully, and they work on the old Wii remote. At this point, my only theory is that something is wrong with the new Wii remote I bought, as everything works with the old one (Which I would avoid using at all cost because of the nunchuck issues, which are that the nunchuck very easily unplugs or glitchs out and I have to unplug it, blow in the nunchuck port and plug it back in, something that I do almost every minute at this point.). It would be a shame if I had to buy yet another one because they aren't exactly cheap and I don't have that much money to begin with. I sincerely hope someone knows how to find a solution!
