Hi,
First, let me say that the problem appears to be entirely with the wii remote itself rather than any software. I'm not really looking for a fix for the problem (as that will almost certainly involve opening the wiimote, which requires one of those silly nintendo screwdrivers that I don't have), just a clever way around it.
The minus button on my wiimote doesn't work. It either sticks or totally refuses to respond, depending on its mood. Either way, I can't play Zelda, and that's a problem.
I need some help in finding a way around it. Is there a way to remap the buttons on a real wii remote in dolphin? As far as I can tell, there isn't, so I've been trying to find another way. What I've been trying to do is to change the wiimote settings in dolphin to 'hybrid', and then map some keyboard key to the minus button. The problem with this is that it doesn't work. If I map X to the minus button, then pressing X in game has no effect, because the real minus button is sticking in the wii remote. If I could somehow disable the real wiimote's minus button, while keeping all of its other buttons intact, then I think it might work. Is this possible in dolphin?
Can you think of any other ingenious way around my problem?
Please, if anyone can help me I'd very much appreciate it. I hear that only official Nintendo Wiimotes work with dolphin, and I'm way too poor for one of those.
