Wii Remote+ connects, not seen by Dolphin

I've got my Wii remote connected through the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack, and is sitting here with its player 1 light dutifully on... however Dolphin fails to recognize it in the configuration. The part that gets me? I close Dolphin and the remote rumbles. Some kind of connection is recognized there, so why can't I configure?
