I'm having problems with my wii remote. It connects just fine when I try to pair it, but when I play a Wii game to test it out the controls are unresponsive. I already tried Alt-F5 to connect and still nothing. I know that this bluetooth dongle works because I used to use it just fine when 3.0 was out. I had to format my computer a few months ago and did not try playing on Dolphin until yesterday. The dongle I use is the ASUS USB-BT211. Has anyone else had this problem and know of a fix?

Thanks for the help.

I have the same problem with the new 3.5 release. With the 3.0 revision it just works.
But It happens when I reload a save state then controller doesn't work anymore.

catabarez, is it an official wii remote? And when you say "unresponsive" do you mean laggy? If so, turn on "alternate wiimote timings" (3.5) or uncheck "enable speaker data" (3.5-6xx something and up).

chizzle, don't use savestates. And could you please make your own thread next time? Or at least wait for this one to resolve? Answering two people at once is confusing.

Yes it's an official wii remote. Had it since day 1. The controller connects to the computer but nothing will work work when I load up a game. I recently bought some newer Wii Remote Plus controllers and 3 out of 4 of those work (a problem for another time I suppose).

Are the newer revisions of Dolphin not compatible with the older controllers?

Depends on how old they are Big Grin .
More seriously 2 of my Wiimotes are "old" (the first model) and they work just fine with recent builds.

Is your Wiimote recognized when you start the emulator (before launching a game I mean). Which BT stack do you use (Microsoft, Toshiba...)?

Yes it connects to the emulator fine, the light turns on and the controller vibrates. I use an ASUS USB Bluetooth with Microsoft drivers I believe.

You didn't answer my question. Define "unresponsive" please. It will help us figure out what the problem is and how to help you.

By "unresponsive" I guess he means "no response". He gets no connection since he tried to use Alt +F5.

@catabarez: You could try Toshiba stack. This is what I've been using and no issue with all my Wiimotes (old or more recent)

I had said that the remote connects but will not work with the game.

The problem is I've been using this stack since 3.0 and it had worked then. I also had tried to use the Toshiba stack but it does not seem to recognize my adapter. Using the Toshiba stack also helps with that TR issue right?
