Wii remote bluetooth won't continue without code

I solved my problem. I had to uninstall the Bluetooth Stack software that came with the Bluetooth dongle, and use the Microsoft Bluetooth stack "Generic Bluetooth Adapter". If you don't have that in Windows (just like I did not), follow the link here http://bluetooth-driver-installer.en.softonic.com/download#downloading . Make sure to uncheck all the random software downloads in the installer. This downloads the 32-bit version. If you want the 64-bit version, the installer will realize this and tell you to click a link, downloading the 64-bit version. Once this is installed, just link the Wiimote to the PC like all the "how-to"s tell you on the internet. Works like a charm.

As I stated in my post, it was not installed with my Windows 7 Home Edition 64-bit for some reason. I tried finding the "Generic Bluetooth Adapter" driver in Windows to no avail. If you search the internet, you will find others who do not have the Windows Bluetooth Stack installed in Windows 7.

Once I installed it, my Bluetooth Dongle worked the way it should have from the beginning.

Did you try to select the device in the device manager and change drivers that way? It should have been there, it's not like it would go away.

Yup. I tried it that way, with every "device" in the Device Manager that had anything to do with Bluetooth. I checked with articles online to make sure I was doing the right thing.
