What's this massive slowdown everyone is always talking about on Hyrule Field near the end of the game? I just finished it last night, and I didn't have any slowdowns during ANY part of the game.

The farther you are in the game the slower Hyrule Field is supposed to be

You have an Intel Core i5 overclocked to 4.1ghz and your wondering why your not getting any slowdowns....lol

Your CPU is most likely sufficient enough to run Hyrule field at full speed regardless of how far you are in the game

Im new to the forums here but have been following Dolphin quite a while. I only recently tried to play TP but have problems with the wiimote. At the create save screen, just after the into(which I can get past fine by hitting a + b) the wiimote stops being read and after a min or two I get a message saying "communications with the wiimote have been lost...". Other games work just fine. Any ideas?

This is a power saving option that disconnects the wiimote to save power, anyway just press alt+f5 to reconnect back the wiimote in-game

Well, I meant more from a gameplay standpoint. Like I didn't see any major changes to the environment that would cause those types of slowdowns.

Yeah, this is one small issue I ran across. When you are the wolf running in the twilight, with your sense ability on. I went from a perfect game to a sluggish 20-30 frames... My pc isn't perfect. However, I don't have a epeen. So I posted my correct computer specs. Ohh I started playing in OpenGL. Then I had the sluggish problems like mentioned. So I converted back to what I know works. If you are using a real wiimote, and experiencing lag issues when sounds come through using the bow, slingshot, boomerang,or even jumping in the wolf form. Check out my mental post about stopping the issue.

"Over time in the game Hyrule Field becomes progressively slower. To fix this use the "ZTP hack" (see Configuration). Make sure that this option is checked only for this game since this can cause issues in other games."

hope this helps? btw. your tip to mute the mote is greatTongue

i got another problem with zelda - tp:
1) left/right movement with nonchuck controller ist inverted when i enable Custom Projection Hack -> Settings... -> Zelda Twilight Princess (Bloom hack)
the whole world is inversedHuh
2) and when you move ir pointer (butterfly) to one side, the glitter goes to the other side. so butterfly and her glittet only stay together in the vertical centnral line of the screen.

Enabling Bloom hack does switch directions in the game, i believe in the gamecube version link uses his sword with his left hand like always but when the wii and wiimote was developed and due to the larger number of right handed players the whole game was turned around to suit the majority right handed players so basically i think bloom hack just switches the wii graphics and renders it in gamecube version, anyway to counter this i just switch my controller settings and made left--->right and right-->left and its like normal, but u'll have to change it when playing a different game and the glitter is also caused by the bloom hack so right now the glitter is the pointer and not the actual fairy, anyways i just disabled pointer so as not to confuse myself and use the normal aiming with the directions button

thank you, Blaze X

you introduced it very well. its also mentioned in this forum and on wikipedia but i have had to search and read a lot.

unfortunately, still its not possible to play with wiimote+nonchuk, right? please tell me how do you disable the pointer.

and is aiming ok unless its all mirrored with bloom hack? i dont want to play this game with this ugly yellow bloom. hope i'm not the only one who hates it / loves the graphics the bloom hack provide.. besides, current bloom hack is working for dx9 only, half the performance i get with dx11 (gtx 470 loves dx11)
