wii nunchuck

I am having trouble connecting a nunchuck, my wiimote works fine but the nunchuck is not being recognised. I have been trying to find the answer in this forum and the only one I can find says that I need to select "use nunchunk" in the wiimote settings....i dont have this! I'm using the latest build

In the emulated Wiimote configuration dialog, set "Extension" to "Nunchuk".
Not too difficult I think.

HI, thanks for the reply.....I figured out my problem and it was a faulty nunchuck!! Oh well, I'd better send it back and get it replaced grrrrr!
