Well yeah, it's been that way for months now. A lot of people have been hoping for the audio to be fixed for quite some time.
It is most unfortunate. The game is great but playing without audio isn't really fun. I tried to "fix" it by having Ken and Ryu's theme on in the background instead, which made it better but I still miss the in game sounds. Not to mention that the sounds actually tip you off on when an attack is coming.

Get a better computer and use LLE. That's it. The HLE is a hack to obtain good speeds on inferior CPUs and your lucky it works as well as it does.

The game runs at full speed regardless of me using LLE or HLE. In fact, I've been able to play every single game I've tested at full speed. The audio issues still remain, however, though they are a bit decreased with LLE.

So whats the status on the wii mote, looks like it does not stay connected long enough to even get in to game. The bug reports point the issues to wii speaker data and the recommended fix is

"
Man vs Wild suffers from the same issue. It may not be out of the question to add a "disable speaker" option in the GameConfig so disabling the speaker on a game by game basis is possible until a solid solution is found.
"

Though I'm on a much newer version and there is no such option in gameconfig?

Are you sure you are running the latest version? I've never had my wiimote disconnect while playing Punch Out.

The problem is possibly on your end then. Especially if you have more issues when using the nunchuck. Using a high quality bluetooth dongle or a cheaper one?

I've never had any disconnect issues with any dolphin version in Punch-out. Currently running 3.0-235.

Well I did find that moving the BT to the monitor helped with a shake pointer issue I had, so I'm buying a new one. I'll report back on this.

I got a supper fancy-dancy BT with a lot of coverage. Even has an antenna on this one. Its a billionton, and there are absolutely no differences.

Also just bought a new wii-mote with plus inside. Just wanted to report it didnt help. Also turns out a few other games do this. Like "Elmo's A to Zoo Adventure" and "Star wars Dual battle Light Sabor". I can sit there and hit alt-f5 ever 5 seconds but its kind of annoying. All other games I have ( 20 or so ) work ok.

ah just need to enable "alternate Wiimote timing"

What FSP do you guys get? Going to have to play with some hack to speed this thing up a bit. Using the HLE hack right now but 15 frames is the best I can get. AMD pheonem 555 black 3.2 gig. Right now its OC'd to 3.7 and I have a 280 geforce gtx ( also over clocked ).

Ok reinstalled Dolphin to get the defaults back. Un ticked the 60 pal business and now I have 30 fps. Looking for a bit more, if I can.

hmm, the latest (30-419) really sped things up for me.
