Yes, you can. I haven't played it with a keyboard, but I'd recommend you get a gamepad (for instance: XBox 360). The XBox 360 controller has a USB connection so it plugs right into your PC. Mario Galaxy wasn't really designed for play with keyboard.

It's impossible to play with PS2 controller because you will need to use cursor when using yoshi and using pullstars, and that's impossible with analog, trust me, I've tried.
