I get totally fine framerates on some (most maybe) levels, but some just slow down to 50% or even lower. Especially some castle levels. Doesn't anyone else have this? Is my computer just too slow?
It's an Intel Core2Duo with 3 GHz, 4 GB Ram, on Windws 7 64 bit, with a geforce 8800 GTS I've tried directx plugin and openGL. OpenGL just sucks all the time, while directX is what I use 01-24-2010, 11:39 PM

Make sure you're using the DX plugin. Turn framelimit off. Then turn vsyn on. If you have a fast enough computer you won't need to use frameskipping, and you can even keep audio throttle on so that the music syncs up with the movement of some of the characters. With my system I'm able to run the game in 1080p using those settings and the game never drops below 60fps. If, however, I set framelimit to 60, then I experience significant slowness in some of the levels. Basically, you're using vsync to set the speed of the game. This occured to me when I accidentally turned vsync and framelimit off and subsequently noticed that I was getting 150fps (Mario was like a jumping bean on crack). Anyway, the game runs flawlessly for me now. All the levels are full speed, there are no unusual graphical anomalies, and the backgrounds all render correctly. I don't care if we ever get spinning coins at this point. If you didn't know any better you wouldn't be able to tell it was a problem. Q6600 @ 3.6GHz - MSI Geforce 8800GTX - Windows 7 Ultimate x64

I'm getting the intermittent Wiimote disconnects as well. I'm wondering if there's a current or pending solution for this one?
Seems to happen no matter what remote I'm using, doesn't happen in Linux, only in Windows.
