Quote:Interesting that you'd mention about closing all programs. I have a hunch that the wiimote-disconnects are CPU-load related... I'm not sure how I'd collect the data on that, but that's why it's a hunch...

I'm refering to closing apps that would make me lose focus on dolphin ie alt tab or open another window. I can have like iTunes playing music etc my CPU can handle it it's just when I alt tab from fullscreen I usually lose controls or dolphin crashes so I close things that wuld pop up and revert focus to something else ie aim

also playing it rendered in the main window gives me leniency to minimize it and have other windows open but sometimes the control goes out but for the most part it's fine I've played hrs with no problems

I'm curious to know how those playing with 360 controllers work those platforms that you can tilt up and down–the ones that turn red when you jump on them. I can't seem to figure out how to get it to work.

Right, but consider what exactly is happening when you take focus away from Dolphin.
Kicking Windows around can sometimes cause paging and will invariably cause spikes in CPU activity to fire off a landslide of different API functions.

If I don't have much running in the background, it takes longer to happen. If I have more, it takes less time. Affecting my system's ability to concentrate on Dolphin definitely plays some kind of role.

It's not a matter of your CPU "handling it" (tough guy), chances are it's the fact that Windows multitasking isn't quite as robust as other operating systems.

Hi,

first of all very big thanks to this great app for playing wii games on PC, i love it Smile

at the moment i play new super mario bros., it works very well, there are only a few problems for me.
in world 2 at the first casle i had very bad performance and the game runs really slow, other levels i was able to play really smooth. but now the same happens in world 3 (the ice one) too, i get really bad performance when the ice appears in level 1 of this world.
any ideas how to solve it?

and a little issue is, that the sound disturbes after some time of play in a level, but when i skip to the next one, everything works fine.

my PC:
AMD Athlon X2 @ 3Ghz
4GB Ram
Radeon 4830
SX X-Fi
Win7 32-bit

That is a *VERY* good question!! If anyone can shed some light on how to operate/maneuver those "levers that turn red" while using a 360 controller, we'd appreciate it Smile

The problem is that the default 360 pad settings for the Wiimote plugin doesn't bind the triggers correctly. So here's what you do:

1) Delete your Wiimote.ini file so that you get a freshly generated file.
2) Go in to the Wiimote button config and under "Tilt and Swing", set the Wiimote to "Triggers"
3) Map one of the triggers to the 360. Do not map both. In my case I mapped the Left Trigger (1002) while leaving the Right Trigger on its default settings (1005). This has something to do with the fact that the 360 has analog triggers, and mapping both will cause the input to be nullified since Dolphin thinks it's reading two inverse sets of data, one from each trigger.
3.5) I also have my Wiimote set to sideways mode, but I don't know if this has an impact.

Now if I could just get Dolphin to stop thinking the Wiimote has become disconnected. Edit: Solved. I didn't realize you had to patch the game. I thought Dolphin already had the new security workaround for NTSC.

I say it again: @ Cameron: You have an uncommon graphical glitch there...the pyramids should look different...maybe you have to install latest DirectX (August) and/or latest gfx drivers.
