There is a thread called New Super Mario Brothers HELP! That's a closed thread but on page 50 of it there's a config that I used with the Orleans build on 64bit that made the game work very well.

Also - using this version of the emulator while using the config that I had found on page 50 of the thread eliminated my sync errors (for the most part). But when I did get the sync errors they didn't effect the gameplay or change anything for me or lock up the emulator.

Basically for a gamepad you're going to have to use a program called Xpadder. Then from there setup keyboard keys for all of your controller needs and then link Xpadder gamepad controls to those keystrokes on your keyboard.

Same, game works 100%.

But, out of the 10 or so versions I've now tried they all do the same thing.

Randomly throughout the game I get sync issues. Could be a minute into it, could be ten.

When you say latest revision are you talking about the game or Dolphin's latest revision, cause I downloaded the latest revision of dolphin, and I still get the sound loop problem after selecting number of players.
