Not really true... Of course, old builds are a little bit faster, but they are not as accurate as newer builds.
And keep in mind: Right settings = more FPS 04-16-2012, 12:30 PM

So I ripped the game off the disk, then played it on Dolphin for a bit, then a portion of background music kept repeating indefinitely, so I looked up this forum and saw I had to patch the ISO (I'm an NTSC user).
So I follow the steps to patch it that I found here: http://gbatemp.net/topic/189802-new-supe...-bros-wii/ And now Dolphin won't load the game. All I get is a black screen. Any suggestions? Could I have made a mistake along the way? 06-05-2012, 04:01 AM
Why did you patch the ISO? I don't understand this... I think it's not necessary.

On the original post in this thread, it says: As of the latest revisions, you don't need to patch your ISO anymore! (PAL users)
NTSC users (both NTSC-U and NTSC-J) would need to use this trick or else the game will freeze every 5-10 minutes ingame: 1. Get WiiScrubber, NSMB.Wii PPF-Patches package and PPF-O-Matic (Google them, don't ask in this thread) 2. Run MakeKeyBin.exe for generating 2 files: key.bin and kkey.bin and place these files in WiiScrubber's folder 3. Run WiiScrubber and extract main.dol of your NSMB Wii iso 4. Patch this main.dol with PPF-O-Matic using right region PPF-Patch 5. Replace maid.dol you patched with one in your iso with WiiScrubber and save 6. Have fun! Is that outdated information? 06-05-2012, 04:10 AM
I think so.

Just use the newest git version of Dolphin and everything should run fine.
You can use Dolphin 3.0 too. The official release is just fine for this game. Anyway this game works fine with any build and any system
