Hello everyone

I would like to submit a problem that maybe have already be discussed in here. But there are 148 pages (I diddn't read all the pages, sorry, shame on me Big Grin ) so i'm maybe asking again :

I have a problem to play the game with more than 2 wiimotes. I have a 360 controller and 2 wiimotes and I can't play with the three of them. The third input (would be Wiimote or pad) won't work at all. In fact when I try to connect Wiimotes/pads with Alt+F5/F6 etc only the two first inputs works. The third wiimote icon is always greyed at the screen when you choose the characters in New super Mario Bros (if you see what I mean).

I use bluesoleil for the first two wiimotes, everything worls fine when only the two wiimotes are connected, but when I try to connect a third player with a pad, that won't do. I configure the two first wiimotes as Real wiimotes (the plugin says "connected to 2 wiimotes" so it's good) and the 360 pad to emulated wiimotes (I tried both with direct input and keyboard with Xpadder, but both won't work).

I'm really frustrated, especially when i watch this video, when you can see that the game can be played with 2 wiimotes and 2 pads.

Does anyone can help me ? I'm using R6409 and the last release I have tried is 6480, without more success.

Sorry for my english, I'm french. Thank you.

Why is it that I get a constant and fixed 24 fps and 50% while playing when I get 50fps 100% in all movies and menus ?

EDIT: Nevermind, I installed a fresh revision and changed only the settings give in this thread and it's working 100% now.

EDIT 2: Seems that it only works one time, whenever I launch the game more than one time it goes down to 50% while playing.

EDIT 3: Okay, seems that I missed a few settings on the game itself, its working 100% now.

EDIT 4: I just noticed all the coins aren't spinning, just standing like a picture, should it be like that?

You need to enable EFB to RAM for the coins to spin (which will cause a big performance decrease though). EFB to texture is strictly speaking just a speed hack, and we can't make the coins spin with EFB to texture.
So you have the choice between no spinning coins at all and low performance Wink
(note that you might also need to set safe texture cache to safe)

Thanks for the reply, but even with EFB to RAM (and safe texture cache to safe) they aren't spinning and it decreased the games speed by 50%. Kinda weird.

You'll need to restart Dolphin for the coins to spin after changing it to EFB to RAM.

Oh, now it worked, but the game's speed cut in half. Anyhow thanks for the help.
Guess I can live with it Smile

EDIT: The thread owner should really update the first post with information about Tilt Left and Right for the people who don't have a real WiiMote.

Something appears strange to me: what is different between the coins "hanging" in the air and the ones you knock out of blocks or shake out of flowers (in the first levels)? they spin + are high res.

I was wondering the same thing. There are actually quite a few coins which all look the same, but have different properties (eg. spin speed). I went into the NSMB editor and swapped a few coins, and they looked great in game. It was just a pain to do by hand, and they also wouldn't spin at the same time.

I'm just wondering, are those coins rendered differently? why else would they need EFB to RAM while the others don't?

Hi there!

I'm new to Dolphin and i am really excited and impressed that this game runs on 100% speed on my aging computer (E2140@3ghz)

I spent an hour fighting with this EFB to RAM/Texture thing until i found that there is a mix with ram/texture:
When i set it to Texture, save settings and restart the emulator, the coins are spinning.
When i set it to RAM, save settings and restart the emulator, the coins are textures (???) until i die - then the coins are spinning again - wtf (???).

Is this in the latest build bugged?

The only way the game is playable for me is when i start emulator, start the game and then open the dx9 setting window (efb set to texture) - while the game is running. as soon the config window opens, the game runs at 100% speed with coins as textures.
