While the emulator says the game is running faster than it should, V-sync is in fact locking the framerate at 60 and the game is definitely running normally. I got significantly better results with this than any other combination of those 4 settings (and I tried em all).

Of course you also need to make sure and get the version of the game which matches your TV/Monitor - I was running the PAL version initially and got some really ugly telecine judder with 50fps but the NTSC version quickly solved that problem.

The game is running astonishingly perfect now, 60fps constant on every level I've played (up to 3-3). I'm playing at 1280x720 with anistropy and hires textures on but no AA. Not the highest settings but considering my PC is far from top-of-the-line (Q6600, 4gig, 8800GT, win7 X64) I'm happy with it.

Hope this helps anyone still having issues, and thanks to those on this thread who guided me in the right direction.

The combination of Framelimiter Off, Audio Throttle Off and Vsync ON works a treat - many thanks!

Went from 40fps in the snow levels to 60fps constant.

I don´t know if someone already notice but the only thing that this games game needs to be perfect is "showing the blue coins, coins when you it a pow, and the coin not spin". I discovered that if in game you turn the enable EFB Copy to RAM, the game will show the blue coins, but will but slow to play and the textures of the tunnel will be corrupted.

MAybe someone could fix this Smile

Can i play in 2 players mode?
I have configured controls for second wiimote on my gamepad but game doesnt recognize it when i press 2

did you try press ALt+ F6 just after you enter the game ?!?

lol if you have a extremly good CPU you can play the game with one player Smile

But yes you can play with 2 player but you will need a real wiimote because the second player need a mouse to ( 2 wiimotes or 1 wiimote and a keyboard + mouse) . But in that game the second player simply takes the star control from second player.

Btw. i gotta ask u something
on Dolphin 2.0 game works great 50-60fps with frameskip set to 1,but on newer revisions 5677 and other new,it just runs very bad,eyes are fixed but when my window isnt maximized it runs at 40-60fps,but when i maximize it,game runs at 17fps and i am using same settings as in 2.0
I thought that dual core celeron@3.5ghz will be enough...but maybe my HD4550 is making trouble
