Wii Netplay Player 2 Controller Input not working

hey guys, so me and my bros are trying to play Mario Party 9 on the Dolphin 5.0-8845 Build using netplay, everyone can connect just fine, but when it comes time to choose a character, their controllers just do not work. Their controllers work just fine in non Netplay, is there any fix? we are all running the same Dolphin, and game.
