Wii NAND Dev vers 4.0-xxxx help?

My friend and I are currently attempting to play a multiplayer wii game w/ a story mode and it wont save.I read some where that NAND is the reason that saving over netplay on wii games doesnt work. What is NAND and how can i disable it or something that I can save a game and progress w/ my friend over netplay?
We are using Dolphin Version 4.0-8973 |
