US

That seems to be the problem. So you might want to pick up the EU/PAL version (dunno if there will be one soon), which includes English or you try the JP version.
Update the emulator frequently (i prefer Orleans build). They already fixed some parts in the US version. e.g. the moving selection screen!

edit: do not use 4291. it slows muramasa down!
using dx9: no not enable 16x ansiotropy

I'm working on a hires version of Momo's sprite. Currently Dolphin only loads the textures upon bootup, loading AND saving states will cause reversion to original textures. Ability to toggle hires textures on-the-fly ala Rice plugin would be cool.

Should I continue, wait for texture-loading support to improve, or just forget about the whole thing? -_-

PS. Lurking here for some time, but first post!

That's great, dangerism. You said the texture will reset if the emulator's save state is used, right? What if I play the game normally (use in-game save point)? If that doesn't trigger the problem, I don't think it's a big deal.

When you think the time is right, please do share your great work.

Cameron, I asked earlier what the emu will perform with faster Dual or Quad core processor, and you said it played great on your X4.

I've just upgraded to C2Q and overclocked it to 3.5Ghz. So far the game performs flawlessly at 60FPS. Too bad only 2 cores are utilized.

BTW, Cameron, how does your CPU usage look like?
Mine is below.

From what I have played so far, this scene is the most intense, with multiple characters, full screen map and busy background, the game was around 54FPS with my previous C2D 3.0 setup.

However, both cores seem to run at their peek at 100% most of the time, but the game still delivers 60FPS without a hitch.

Since you use different processor at faster speed, I'd like to see if yours runs at 100 both cores too. The scene doesn't need to be the same, or isn't even necessary at all. You can just tell me.

good stuff PrTv.

ill get a shot up of my CPU Usage, after i Install RE5 Smile

anyway its originally the Phenom II X3 720, but I Unlocked the 4th Core, Stock 2.8 OC'd To 3.6 ill get shots of my cpu usage.

and steamx, u must be using a real low resolution cuz these pictures arent that big.

Update:

I Get Around 50-60 CPU Usage, I Had Other things running Nothing Major but iTunes is a bit of a resource hog, but it seemed to be alright, some shots below. I Thought window mode would have had me using a lot more cpu but i was getting the constant 60 and the same cpu usage..

Fullscreen:

Windowed:

Graphic Settings
Resolution 1680x1050 (4:3, Crop)
Anisotropic: 16x
Antialias 16xQ CSAA
No Vsync

PrTv, Any Chance you Got TVC (Tatsunoko vs. Capcom), last time i tested it played horribly, but i think i was at 2.8Ghz, i dont have the game on me now so i cant test it, id be interested to know how it does on your pc if you have it.

Thanks. Big Grin

Hello all.
I've been playing Muramasa on the emulator and I've encountered an impasse at the moment. What's happening is that the game freezes during my battles (graphics & sound). Restarting the emulator and replaying the dungeon does not help as well; it freezes anywhere during the battle. This occurs during my post-game plays so I don't know if that is attributed to the problem. Is this a common problem on all games? Or just this one in particular?

Thanks for any tips.

I recently experienced this problem too. It seemed to happen when I use special attack. The emulator freezed but my computer was fine, didn't lockup what so ever.

I think it was because I used Dolphin.exe (not IL), so I switched to DolphinIL.exe, and my problem seemed to solve, as I can use special power like crazy without freezing. But I can't say DolphinIL solved my problem since I haven't finished the game yet.
