Hi, I recently bought a legitimate wii controller to use with dolphin emulation, I am able to sync the controller through dolphin and when i go to my device settings I can test that the buttons and motion work however in dolphin when i set the controller to real wiimote and start a game the controller doesn't do anything, I'm really unsure how to approach the problem after a lot of frustrating googling and was hoping I could be pointed in the right direction, here's an imgur album to give more context.

also on a related/unrelated in all the sync video's i saw their player 1 led stayed on but the others were off but mines has 2,3 and 4 on and 1 off. . . is this a clue?

also is there a reason the leds on my wii controller have 2,3 and 4 lit up? in videos of people demonstrating how to set this up when you sync the player 1 led lights up and the others stay off, also I dont know if this makes a difference but I dont have a lightbar yet (its on the way) i bought the mayflash dolphin bar, will using the bluetooth in that *fix* this issue so to speak?

  • Never connect/pair the Wii remote to Windows directly. The operating system may interfere with Dolphin's ability to connect with the Wii remote.
  • To connect a Wii remote, open Dolphin, then go to Controllers, select Real WiiMote and press "Refresh", then press and hold the "1 and 2" buttons simultaneously on the Wii remote. Or press and hold the "Sync" button for those Wiimotes that have motion plus inside (-TR Wii remotes).
  • If the remote does not seem to want to connect, make sure that any real Wiis in proximity are switched off for the duration of the pairing process.
  • If all this doesn't work, then try Bluetooth Passthrough.

thanks for the messsage jack, I am connecting through dolphin, its actually the only way it connects, if you try to manually connnect through the bluetooth interface you get the pin thing, the problem isn't with establishing a connection to the wiimote, the problem specificially is with my controller sync'd up and after verifying the inputs work through devices and printers and testing the buttons ( as seen in the imgur link) that the dolphin doesn't register any inputs and im completely stumped as to why

Edit: So as an update to this thread my dolphinbar from mayflash got here today and setting it up through the bar and not the pc bluetooth and it works great, sorry for wasting everyones time, i'll leave this thread up just in case other people can get some value out of it, thanks for reading.
