Hi,

i've switched from Windows to Ubuntu and my Wii Mote Plus does not work anymore. I have Paired and Trusted the Wii Motion Plus in Ubuntu but it does not connect to Dolphin Emu.
But when i press ALT+F7 (shortcut to connect to Wii Motion Plus slot 3 - it seems to be Paired as Number 3) it says "connected" and immediately "disconnected" Huh . ALT+F5/F6/F8 does nothing.
I'm on Ubuntu 13.10(beta2, 64Bit) / original Nintendo Wii Motion Plus (Paired and Trusted as Nintendo RVL-CNT-01) / Dolphin 4.0-205 / Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle (HCI mode)

Hope anyone can help,
Sk0re

I never pair up my Wiimotes via blueman, or anything else equivalent. I just hit the 1 & 2 buttons in Dolphin and let Dolphin handle it. I find it helps to have Continuous scanning enabled. What I do is I run bluetoothd as root before running Dolphin, make sure the Wiimotes are set to Real Wiimotes, then start the game and pair them up through Dolphin. Blueman recognizes them automatically if Dolphin takes care of handling them. You shouldn't need to futz around with ALT+F7, so I would just leave that alone for now.

Ok,

after trying for HOURS i finally got it working.
(i installed the packet "xwiimote" - don't knew if it is necessary)

In my case it works with these 5 steps:
1) connect the Wii-Mote to Blueman (not paired and trusted) / (let Blueman open for step 5)
2) open "Dolphin" and "Wiimote Configuration"
3) enable "Continous Scanning" and let the "Wiimote Configuration" tab open
4) press 1+2 on the Wiimote and then the "Refresh" Button in the "Wii Configuration" Menu
5) after clicking the "Refresh" Buttion immediately refresh the Wiimote in Blueman (sometimes you have to try twice in Blueman)

short version:
While connecting the WiiMote in Dolphin you have to refresh the Blueman Bluetooth service for the WiiMote.

It seems like the WiiMote is only detected while i refresh it in Blueman.
Maybe the Developers can make the "Real WiiMote Refresh" Button in Dolphin better working?

I'm not entirely sure what blueman is, but I just followed Shonumi's suggestion and started a game while continuous scanning was on. Worked for me.

It's a shame my 740M and dual core i7 weren't enough to run Fire emblem properly. I hope a 4130 + 750TI will do a better job, since I plan on making it my full time Ubuntu Dolphin Machine.
