I did a little bit of research on this topic and learned that the "-tr" Wiimotes need special programs and stuff. So, I checked my Wiimote name, and its just named "Nintendo RVL-CNT-01" without the "-tr" and this got me really confused, because it does have "Wii MotionPlus INSIDE" on the bottom but still isn't recognized when I try to play Wii Sports Resort. If you need any more info just ask, thx!

Quote:"-tr" Wiimotes need special programs and stuffThey don't, on Linux, or on Windows 8.1 or newer. Is your remote an official one? If so, you likely have one of the (rare) non-TR remotes which have the Motion Plus extension (the gold Zelda remote bundle for Skyward Sword). If not, well, I'm surprised you even got it to connect on Windows. If you're sure this is not an issue with your remote (i.e. it does work on a real Wii), then you have to use Bluetooth passthrough, which is the only way for everything to work like on a real Wii. 02-06-2017, 02:26 AM
In addition to the Skyward Sword Gold Wiimote, there's also the FlingSmash bundle (comes with a black Wii Remote Plus) and the Wii Play: Motion bundle in Europe (comes with a white Wii Remote Plus). They're pretty hard to find nowadays and all of them are non-TR Wii Remote Plus...

I got my black Wii system with two Wii MotionPlus inside remotes, and it could have come with Mario kart, Wii sports, Resort or a few other games I can't remember right now. I am using the Wiimotes it came in, and both work fine on my Wii system, and on dolphin with games that don't use MotionPlus. I'm also using the Bluetooth receiver that came in with my Alienware Aurora R5, but if using a BT Passthrough would be easier then id be fine with that. I am pretty new to this so once again, just ask if you need any more info. |
