Quote:I assume you're just talking about an accurate emulation. Because if what you're saying is true, then I wouldn't be experiencing full speed on these games.
Quote:You have to remember, I'm not using LLE, and I have frameskipping on. I'd play with frameskipping off but I don't want to see slowdowns in the speed of the gameplay.
THANK YOU. That's exactly what I'm talking about. I have no issue at all with you using hacks to speed up your game. But you are posting your settings and giving advice, talking about what everyone wants to hear: full speed on weak hardware for a very demanding game. You talk about how you have old hardware and how you magically got it to work, but you don't talk about any of the potential downsides of this. Skip EFB Access from CPU is well known to break effects in many games, frameskipping draws fewer frames on the screen for jerky video, you have several experimental features on, and you are using old versions with TONS of bugs that have since been fixed. Even if you don't notice some broken effects, there could still be some you didn't catch. And if someone were to use those builds for all games... ouch. Without those caveats being listed, noobs are going to read it and assume you mean accurate emulation on current builds, not hacked up ancient ones. When you give tips that include hacks, you need to point out what isn't accurate emulation, and all the problems associated with it.
Besides, I still don't get why frameskipping would improve your performance. Frameskipping is more of a GPU thing and your GPU is fine, your CPU is your bottleneck. I suppose it is possible that EFB to Ram effects are being used less because of the frameskipping, but I don't know.
Quote:I'm going to ignore your insults and just give you some info, if you could respond to me without making a stupid remark("Ooookay." and "let's see how your computer really performs".) that would be greatly appreciated.
That bothered you? Pfft, that was nothing. Wait till you get the interest of NV or Squall. Trust me, I'm tame.
