One more thing, is there any way to stop the 3d map on the upper right corner to stop fickering?

I'm trying to set up Metroid Prime 1 with mouse and keyboard. However, I'm having problem with the IR pointer which I set up as my mouse. It doesn't really let me go anywhere I can move around in a small window so to speak, I can't even access the save files so I can try it out in game (played a short bit with gamepad first).

There is also a gap between my PC mouse pointer and the ingame pointer in the menu screen, that might be part of the problem but I'm struggling to find where I might fix that. I've tried different settings for Center, Width, Height but no major difference. I think that the culprit is the gap that I mentioned. If someone have more experience with this than me I'm thankful for some tips.

Edit:

I managed to get it working by setting the mouse to cursor instead of axis (this was somewhat hidden), therefore I had to utilize serious Google skills! Hopefully the game will be playable with mouse and kb. So far so good even though it's a bit weird at times.

I've played a bit now and it works sort of well. A few FPS drops here and there but mostly okay. However, when I try to bring up the map I almost always get a crash. I haven't seen this issue mentioned in the wikipage so maybe there is a fix for it?

I believe fast depth calculation being switched off solves this issue, at the expense of performance though.

Bleh I'm on a 6700k, I think I have performance to spare.

Why doesn't this game get put on the list for disabling fast depth?

I have a question: I assume you can see my PC specs somewhere in my sig (I had to fill them in at the registration screen). I want to play the Metroid Prime Trilogy, and I've finished Metroid Prime without any issues. But Metroid Prime 2 has crashed once, and features some seldom stuttering moments. Same with Metroid Prime 3, but with more stuttering (mostly 100% though).

If I had to upgrade my PC in order to become able to play Prime 3, should I upgrade CPU, GPU, or RAM, or more than one of these?
And does it even help to upgrade?

The metroid games have stuttering that currently can't be fixed even with the fastest computer, hopefully there will be a solution at some point.

Thanks for the quick reply!
But I've been able to finish Prime 1 (Trilogy version) without any stuttering (except for the Ridley fight).
