It crashed because tons of what the game was asking for wasn't being emulated. Now it is, and that means more stuff for your computer to do. I.e. less performance. Sorry, you won't get an ideal solution here.
Oh, actually, scratch that. There was a bug in 3.5-367 that caused slowdown in MPT and MP3 regardless of speed. Get the latest off the official site: https://dolphin-emu.org/download/ Latest as of this writing is 3.5-1681. While what I said above still applies, you should get a lot better performance out of it than 3.5-367, from that very quickly fixed bug but is still around because people go to the dead site that won't go away.
And lastly: "AMD 8 core" is not a specification. To be a specification, it helps to be specific. It's in the freakin word. >_<
