Is this game giving anybody issues with recent dolphin versions?
I'm finding that many times the individual games will fail to load when selected from the main menu. It often goes to a black screen.

The biggest problem seems to be with MP3, specifically. Sometimes it launches and when it does, it works fine. However, most times, it fails to launch and crashes, closing dolphin in the process. I have tried playing with many parameters and sometimes it seems like one worked, but then I can't repeat it, so it is quite random when it decides to work.

I guess I can live with it. All I have to do is attempt to launch the games several times until it somehow works, but it would be nice to find a solution.

UPDATE:
I eventually found the issue, thanks to a tip from JMC47. It was related to using BT Passthrough. By changing my BT adapter's driver from libusbK to WinUSB (also installed through Zadig), the problem went away and I can consistently launch MP3 from MPT without fail.

I'm having the same issue right now that themanuel had, but with an emulated WiiMote using keyboard and mouse controls. I'm on build 5.0-9932.

The only thing I can think for you to try is to attempt to launch the game with a different video backend.

I tried switching between the OpenGL, DX11, and Vulkan backends and still can't launch any of the games. Eventually when I tried turning off the speed limit to load the games faster after selecting them in the launcher, Dolphin stopped working and I got this error message: Unknown DVD command 00000001 - fatal error

Hopefully somebody can help with your problem. I will say that this game does not like being fast forwarded, especially on Vulkan. It crashes for me sometimes when I do it, although it is nothing I need to do with any regularity.

Instead, something that seems to work well and not cause any problems with this game is the "speed up disc transfer rate" feature in the game's properties window. You'll see the difference when you are able to actually launch a game, as it will go from the launching screen to the actual game very quickly.

One final suggestion, you could try downloading somebody else's save file from the web and try to load that, for testing purposes. Some people have had to do that with this game in the past to get it going, although that might no longer be applicable.

Are you using dual core? If you're using single core, the speed you're running the game at shouldn't matter.

I am using dual core by default on all games with a few exceptions handled by game ini.  It is not really a problem for me as I have only tried to speed it up when doing benchmarks.  I don't need to run it an anything but normal speed when actually playing.

I tried all the suggestions you gave and sadly none of them work, even when enabling single core.

In that case, you'll have to go back to basic troubleshooting:

1. Verify integrity of your MPT dump: right click on game from list, select properties, then verify tab - report results here so that the experts can provide comment
2. Create a text file in the dolphin base directory and name it portable.txt, which will allow you to launch dolphin with all default settings
3. Without changing any settings, attempt to launch the game
4. If it launches successfully, start adding your personal settings a few at a time until launching fails and try to pinpoint the culprit

If your dump is verified as good and you can't launch on bare defaults, then you are in deep poop.

I have an issue with Echoes: I use 9973 for pre-compilation, and have a weird texture glitch in the minimap that is obviously not supposed to be there. I used the general information about the scanner bugfixes and store XFB/EFB to texture only is disabled, but I had some minor glitches that cancel each other out (XFB gets rid of the purple screen in the beginning, but makes the same screen flicker over cutscenes). The texture is in place of the save station, and also in the place of the icon that is supposed to be the translator door. So, where did I mess up?
