What kind of effects do I miss if I disable "Skip Destination Alpha Pass" and EFB Copy RAM emulation? The game was running with 65% speed. Without these options the game runs with 90% to 98% speed.
Do I risk game killing glitches? 09-15-2011, 02:21 AM
As far as I know, SDAP does nothing, and using EFB RAM just changes how the EFB is processed, most of the time, EFB Virtual will make most games run at 100%, whereas RAM is needed for certain in-game functions, like the star pointer in SMG or atleast it used to. I can run SMG2 now using Virtual and the pointer is still there, so I'm not sure.

Actually, SDAP breaks about all games which need it without really speeding up those which don't. Same with "Disable EFB Copies".

Hi,
I'm trying to run this game on my MacBook Pro with Dolphin 3.0 on OS X Lion, but am hardly getting ~25 fps at 640x480 (No AA, No AF) Config: Core i7 2720QM 2.2 Ghz Quad Core 8GB DDR3 RAM ATi 6750M 1GB GDDR5 graphics OCZ Vertex 256GB SSD Mac OS X Lion I'd expect my config to run Metroid Other M flawlessly, but the experience has been very bad so far. Any ideas as to what settings I need to tweak to get this game running on full speed? 09-22-2011, 08:19 PM

And well...Mac/OS X might be your other problem since it don't have Direct3D9 or 11 to choose from which runs the game faster since I think it only have OpenGL and OpenCL to choose from in Mac/OS X Windows 7 in BootCamp maybe would help you to get access to Direct3D9/11 and get you better speeds. 09-27-2011, 10:36 AM
Hi I'm just starting to use Dolphin for the first time, and I thought I'd give Other M a swing.
my two problems are thus: my speed fluctuates madly. I figure its not gonna be at 100% all the time, but it jumps from 100 to 88 to 70 to 9 to 15 back to 100 all in under a couple seconds. Doesnt seem normal to me. the second problem is the cutscenes are all horribly out of sync. my stats are: Intel Core 2 Duo 3GHz 3GB RAM ATI Radeon HD3870 Windows 7 32-bit any suggestions/recommendations? 09-27-2011, 08:23 PM
