Both my card drivers and directx appear to be up to date.
Also, I don't seem to have this problem during in-engine cutscenes.

a lot of people here said "appear to be up to date" or even "I'm pretty sure they're up-to-date", and in many cases it WAS the directX update which brought the cure ^^

Hey, I was thinking what kind of computer you need to have maximal performance so the hardware isn't holding you back. I've read some that it seems Dolphin can't utilize more than two cores right? Which mean with my e8400 @ 3.0ghz I could overclock but would it really be stable? I mean, different applications and games react differently when it comes to overclocking and I have neither the right cooling, money or experience for that. About GFX I have no idea but considering the xbox 360 has a 7800GTX equivalent which is quite a bit slower than my 8800GT I should be fine on that part or?

I am unable to load any save games - ive basically had to start and watch the beginning cinematic like 10 times
Using Dolphin SVN r6166 w/ new wiimote plugin to save - i hit "Emulation | Save State | Slot 1 (or save a file)" to load state i hit "Emulation | Load State | Slot 1 (or choose saved file)" and the game crashes This works for anyone else? what version of dolphin are you using? why don't you use the normal save then? As soon as you land you can go to your ship and save there.
