I had a problem as well with one of those forced scanning events. Combing the entire screen yielded nothing to scan. Pointing the Wiimote away just showed garbled graphics inside the visor. Pointing it back fixed it, but still, there was nothing to scan. I didn't really test this thoroughly to be honest, I just gave up in favor of Mafia II.

Game's buggy, using r6133 right now. Up to this point it's playable, but the cutscenes seem to be the biggest problem. And I haven't tested enough to see if I can even get past the point I mentioned. It's still fairly early in the game, sector 1 I believe, upon returning to the room where you got attacked by those 3 or 4 large pill-bug digger type monsters.

Dunno, the first scanning you have to do to "find" the federation ship worked perfectly fine for me...using real wiimote, btw

those scan spots can be very small, the ign walkthrou gives u all the important spots...

i had 3 major crashes untill now, with each dolphin 2.0 could help and save spots were close...:

training room - start of power bomb cutscene
elevator to sector 2 - while the elevator talks
the cutscene after boss fight once u got the grappling hook (this crash gave panic handler message)

i also sometimes get blackscreen after some time playing, i still hear sound and see the energy bar, but nothin from game, luckyly it mostly happend shortly after save spot.
and most of the time i just had to restart the emu it worked next try.

playing with R6128x64_SSE3 the whole time.. and this game is great, i dont like all thos bad reviewers, this is one major wii title, defnetly one of the best wii games ever!
a true sequel and major 2010 update for super metroid. finaly team ninja managed to make metroid what it always should have been, ass kicking side scroller.
love the whole thang, auto dodging provided alot fun and great visuals, the puzzles were chalenging but not too hard, the boss fights a whole lot fun. stunning visuals.
maybe the game is a little short and i think they could give samus some major weapon upgrades in 2011, why only the weapons she got since day one... but again, lovely design on the firepower...
guess ill finish it today.. see ya laters

I play with r6147 x86, am in sector 1 now(elevator past no problem). No crash or anything serious yet only few spots in cutscenes had *almost* black screen(no lighting), but only certain short spots in them.
But sometimes during gameplay I loose screen so that I see only radar and menus but rest is black - this is in "2D" mode, when zooming to 3D it shows all ok and then when unzooming back its black again. Anyone same problem?
Using DX11, I will try DX9 and OpenGL. How mature is DX11(in stability no features)? Also, is some options necessary for this game like safe texture cache(have it "fast" ATM), CPU->EFB etc..?
E7400 @ 3.6Ghz 1.33v, GTX-260 192SP 650/1400/1100/1.05v, 4Gb RAM, Windows Server 2008 x86

I'm stuck after the volcano section when you have to go back to sector 2. the elevator keeps on descending and the level doesn't load. I waited for about 3 minutes but the elevator doesn't stop. Here is a video I made that shows the problem and my configuration.

Guys I have problem and I wanted to know if anyone can help me. During the training, when you have wall jump out of the hole,
the whole screen turns black except the mini map when I reach at the top of the hole. I have tried at least 6 of latest Dolphin builds but no help. It would be greatly appreciated if someone can help me. Thanks

yeah had the same, using dx9
i happens after walljumping into a new area or sometimes bossfights
mostly i could fix by restart the emu, i think only the training room kept getting black
btw shortly befor that happens dolphin (or metroid) tries to connect to internet

wow i get speed of 86% in windowed mode in areas that slow down alot in fullsceen
