Wii menu not working

Hello everyone,

I just got Wii Menu 4.3U as described in another forum post to make some Miis. However, upon entering it and pressing A it tells me to choose a language. No cursor is visible and I cannot select anything, no matter how many buttons I press.

I'm using a Wii Mote and I don't have any other hardware capable of emulating it (not even my trackpad (laptop peasant) works). What should I do?

Thanks!

If you are using a real Wii Remote, you need a sensor bar in order for the cursor to work.

Is it possible for me to do this via something normal like a USB or is it proprietary?

There are USB sensor bars that you can buy, and they work well. The cable actually just carries power, not any data.

I just had a thought - would it be possible for me to emulate that through a GC controller?

Use an emulated Wii Remote in controller settings and configure your standard controller/keyboard/mouse to the Wii Remote functions.
