wii menu failure!

Ok i got everything to work so that the wii menu opens but when i get to the screen where it says to click tha a button i click the a button (my version) and you here the normal click sound then the screen almost transitions to the wii menu but it stops in the middle of the dimming and sits there. you can see the screen (the one with the a button thing) but barely.

help would be appreciated.

Is it a clean NAND dump, or does it include a softmod/custom WADs/custom channels and stuff?
Anything in the log window/the log file for WII_* logs?

I have the same problem (r6495 32-bit, tried interpreter, JIT and JITIL)

Also the same problem. I've gotten wii menu versions from the games itself (update folder). Latest version as well as old version (from SMG 1)
have the problem. As soon as you press 'a' the screen goes black, but just before it's entirely black, it hangs.

running r6473, but had the problem also with r6337.
