This is a question for the WiimFi support team.  Dolphin devs have nothing to do with that.
Try asking here.  The folks there are pretty helpful.

MKW is crashing for me, specifically in the screen where you can select a Mii.  It doesn't happen absolutely every time but it's rather repeatable.  It happens when hovering the pointer over a Mii, at the moment where the square with the Mii's picture becomes slightly larger.

You can see pictures of the error messages here.

My image MD5 checksum is:
6fb58df93bb5b6b785a3b9b76125d751
It passes the internal SHA-1 hash check using WiiBackupManager

This must be a recent development as I've done many tests in the past with MKW although I have not used Mii's a lot in the past during tests.  It happens with and without loading custom textures and whether using XFB RAM & Textures or disabling it completely.

Setting SyncGPU seems to fix it but affects performance and if this is an actual bug it would be worthwhile investigating it.

Please let me know if I should post additional information or open a formal bug ticket.

Thanks.

PS: I'm not using any Gecko or AR codes, patches, etc.

Could anybody who has Mii's in the emulated NAND at least try to replicate the problem to verify that it is not just me?

It doesn't seem to happen for me. I tested it in 5.0-5918 both with dual core and without dual core, with SyncGPU being disabled all the time.

Thanks for checking. Do you have Miis in your NAND?

OK, thanks.  Perhaps there is an issue with NAND corruption of some kind although I'm surprised that this had not happened to me before.  I'll have to see what happens if I import an older bootmii NAND dump using dolphin's own tools. Before that I'll check if this used to happen with older versions of Dolphin.

I figured out how to reproduce the problem with more consistency.
Could you please try these steps?
I'm using build #5931 and BT passthrough.

1. Launch MKW and activate two wii remotes
2. Select a Solo race for two players
3. Select one of the two types of Mii outfits to open up the Mii selection screen
4. Select any of your Mii's - the crash occurs when selecting a Mii
5. If the crash does not happen, press B and open the Mii selection screen again and select any other Mii (can even be the same as before)
6. If no crash, repeat a few more times
7. If no crashes after say, 5 times, relaunch dolphin and repeat
Sorry, I know I'm asking for a lot of patience here.

Like I said, it does not happen 100% of the time but it does at least half the times that I launch dolphin anew. Once the crash occurs, I can click OK on both error windows and the game continues.  After this I have not yet been able to make it crash again in the same session but I have not kept trying for too long.

Thanks!

I spoke to soon. Additional crashes then occur in-race to the point where emulation does not recover and the wii remotes remain with their lights on and the computer has to be restarted for them to connect to dolphin again. This is bad...
