[WII] KLONOA - A nice but short 2.5D Jump' n Run game!
What happens when you lock Super Mario in 2.5D? The result might be Klonoa!

About the Game:
Klonoa’s long-awaited return offers vibrant graphics, motion control and new secrets to discover in this update to the series’ debut adventure. Highly revered as one of the best platform games of the past 10 years, Klonoa will ignite Wii owners’ imaginations with addictive gameplay, exciting stages and a memorable story. Help Klonoa save Phantomile, a land formed by the dreams of its inhabitants, and recently besieged by an unknown evil. Klonoa’s breathtaking journey takes him through a series of increasingly difficult stages across multiple kingdoms as he strives to save his friends and homeland. Throughout his quest, Klonoa is aided by his friend Hewpoe, a benevolent spirit who resides in the ring from which Klonoa is able to fire his Wind Bullet. The Wind Bullet gives Klonoa the ability to grab and inflate his enemies and use them to his advantage.

Review:
Does Namco's Klonoa remake manage to capture the magic of the original Playstation release?
Before true 3D platformers became all the rage, 2.5D platformers began showing up on Sony's Playstation console during the 32-bit era. These games featured 3D visuals, but kept the player on a 2D pathway through the game. This would allow developers the..

Current Status [5186 resp. 2.0 RC1]:
Video: The game runs perfectly in fullspeed, no graphic glitches noticed.
Sound: Perfect. HLE
Controller: Just one but not serious issue. The first time when you start the game you might notice weird slow downs on moving the character/mouse.
Solution: Restarting the game usually solves that issue, and if you got it right it shouldn't bother you ever again. Classic Controller/GC Controller supported. No Multiplayer-mode available.

My Settings
GENERAL: DualCore, Idle Skipping, JIT Recompiler, HLE the IPL, Frame limiter off.

WII:
EuRGB60(PAL 60) on.

SOUND: HLE, Enable HLE Audio, Enable Audio Throttle, DSound.

GRAPHIC: Direct3D, Aspect Ratio Auto, Resolutions: 1280x720, Enable CPU->EFB access, Enable 16x anistropy filtering, EFB Scaled Copy, Enable EFB copy To Texture.
Resolution/16x/AA etc can be changed of course depending on your graphic card abilities.

Yea the game is fun, even if it's by far not as deep or complex as SMG. Unfortunately there' s no multiplayer mode and the single player mode is done within a couple of hours.Wink However it's a good jump n run game, plus it runs very fast on the emulator. That game definitely got my thumbs-up.

Wasn't this one unplayable before?

The NTSC version of this game needs EuRGB60(PAL 60) to be disabled to boot (just like Punchout and Mario Strikers Charged Football)
