Though I'd post/mention that it seems with newest revisions (7000+) the watery cave issue seems to be completely resolved, i've had no problems going as low as level 47 of the watery cave (got tired and had to leave).

I have passed lvl 20 of the cave on 3 seperate occasions with no incident. Someone who knows more than me about editing the wiki may want to close the issue if it's in the code database/wiki.

Does anyone know how to take pictures? When I take pictures, every last picture in my album shows the last picture I took.
After a minute or two, they all just appear black.

hey guys,

I noticed that people are having issues with outside FPS for animal parade. I can play the game just fine at 30 fps, but the frames are still a bit choppy (skips b/w 29-31) but I checked out the wii forums and it's just the game with bad rendering.

I use the R5430 and set the fps limit to 30 and enable throttle, along with all other settings that speed up most games out there.

I stopped playing because I overwrote my saved file and it took me FOREVER to get gold ore so I didn't want to start all over. I saw the cheats earlier in the thread so I feel good about trying again except make gold ore magically appear Tongue

Attaching SS with fraps...

30 FPS even in the town? Because I usually get average 30 FPS in front of the house and in the town the FPS would drop to 24.

have you solved this problem yet?
what i do is a pain in the ass.. i switch efb copy from texture to accuracy in the middle of the game just before i take photos.. the screen crashes but i switch it to full screen and switch it back to window mode again.. this will like refresh the screen.. the game slows when its on accuracy, but my photos wont turn black so its worth it.. after ive taken my picture i switch it back to texture..

its such a pain in the ass ..anyone got a better way? Huh

Harvest Moon Animal Parade is running really slowly on my comp... Anyone have any idea how I can speed it up?

I have tried literally every setting I can see to fiddle with to try to speed the game up and increase fps. Nothing has worked.

Its running at about 7-15 fps (up from the 3-7 it was running at before I fiddled with the settings) I basically clicked everything that said "improves performance".
And its also at about 20%-40% speed.

Its bad enough that its unplayable for me unless I can get it to significantly speed up.... And I really want to play this game Sad

I have:
The latest release thingy of Dolphin (the latest on on the main download page)
Windows 7 32-bit
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650
Intel Core 2 Duo P7450 @ 2.13GHz
4GB RAM

Its not a terribly new laptop, but it still works well... Is it just too old/crappy to play this game/use dolphin? Would other games work better on it maybe?

Your CPU is slow for Wii games. You should be able to play GC games though. There are excellent Harvest Moon games on GC Smile

*sorry for bumping an old thread, but I have answers to open questions in this thread*

To make any photographs, enable EFB Copy to RAM (With Cache plays more smoothly, but still FPS loss).

Also, DX9 has lighting issues: Glows (like sunlight coming through the house's windows in the morning) are displaced in a down-right direction. DX11 and OpenGL don't have this error. You can also increase Native resolution and/or enable anti-aliasing to reduce the amount of displacement (it will still be noticeable), but it will cost performance (especially AA).

The same lighting issues also appear in Tree of Tranquility.

"Rubbing" characters requires a second wiimote. Aim the second wiimote cursor at the character and move it over him/her in a rubbing fashion (hence the term). So if you use a real wiimote, you need a Sensor Bar.

Sometimes the music becomes "out of sync" with the game, starts playing a second time through the original music, becomes Mono, or the Left or Right channel mutes. You can fix this using DSP LLE. (I have suffered no significant speed-loss with LLE interperter).

Otherwise perfectly emulated, as the Wii itself also shows FPS issues in the larger/more busy areas.

Last tested on 3.0-370 Lectrode ICC Optimized x86 and x64 builds
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5750 (GPU @ 850MHZ, 1GB DDR3 @ 1200MHz)
CPU: Intel Core2Duo E8400 @3.61GHz
RAM: 4GB DDR2 @ 1066MHz
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
