While it is true that the black screen issue has been fixed since version 3.5-2143, you cannot advance further than the beginning of the 3rd screen at most.
(1st screen being the Nintendo safety warning, 2nd the Warriors of Rock splash screen, and 3rd the video) The screen will eventually freeze along with the emulation information (fps etc.) and after a few seconds Dolphin will crash by the start of the 3rd screen, at the very latest. You won't get that far most of the time. I have tried different settings on various revisions and versions of Dolphin, including x86 ones, to no avail. That includes Dolphin 4.0. At this stage, this game should be rated 2 stars in terms of compatibility, not 4. Very few people play this game nowadays so this has gone unnoticed for a very long time. I would very much appreciate if there was an easy fix for this somehow. 10-19-2013, 12:03 AM

I actually managed to run this game with Dolphin 4.0-543, but I suppose my specs are too low, because sound is stuttering and even without it gameplay is quite laggy. If someone with better PC could check it, it would be great.

yea i got a problem with guitar hero: Warriors of Rock.
every 30-40 seconds or so the game hangs for like half a seconds and it ruins the note streakes you sometimes have. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZWsWvtQ...e=youtu.be I made a video to showcase this problem and I was wondering if there is a solution for this ? I hope i'm allowed to post this in this thread or maybe I should have made a new thread ? ![]() note : I have the same problem with guitar hero : world tour. All other guitar hero games work fine dolphin version used : 4.0-3327 x64 system : windows 7 x64 intel I5 2500K @4.3Ghz nvidia GTX 970 corsair 8Gb ram (01-06-2015, 09:36 AM)aerrow Wrote: yea i got a problem with guitar hero: Warriors of Rock. Hello
i can run the game very nice but i have a question/problem its possible to make the drums in the game work with just 4 pads? like the rock band drumset or i have to play with the 5 pads? im asking because i want to get a drumset for rock band to play both games (rock band and guitar hero) 08-05-2015, 11:33 PM

Maybe it'd be possible to make an AR/Gecko code that forces the game to only use 4 lanes, but I haven't heard of anything like that existing... It's a shame, the Rock Band drum sets are my favorite ![]() I wonder if it's possible to get one of those Pro cymbals that work with the RB2/RB3 drum set and use it as a fifth pad? 09-08-2015, 05:36 AM
So this game might be somewhat dead, but I'm having a bit of an issue. Typically, when I try to run the game, the game will start lagging like crazy, all the way down to less than 1 fps. Usually this happens on the initial load screen, with the game's logo and a loading bar on the bottom of the screen. Occasionally this lag will happen on the wrist strap screen. The game is still running at this point; if I let it lag, it will do so for about a minute and then finally crash Dolphin. During that time, there might be 5 or 10 frames rendered, but it never moves past that logo screen.
I have tried Googling the issue, and nothing came of it. I can only find one other report of this issue, on the issue tracker here, but a project member came in and marked the issue as resolved because someone else has reported that the game is running, which doesn't help anyone with this issue get the issue fixed. I have tried running it with both OpenGL and Direct3D, but neither worked. I tried all sorts of combos with the audio options, but nothing worked. I have rebooted my PC several times without it working. HOWEVER, I have gotten the game to run twice. I did not do ANYTHING differently on those successes. I did not switch versions, I wasn't using any different configuration options, and I had not rebooted my PC. I have no idea why the game launched those times. When I was able to play it for those short whiles, the game ran at a near constant 60fps when I lowered the render resolution down to 2x native(I had the render resolution up when I was playing Project M because that runs very easily). After it booted the first time, it refused to work for several more attempts and then booted a second time. It has not booted since then. I'm on Windows 10, 64 bit. I think my system specs should be on my profile since I had to fill those out when I registered. I'm using 5.0-rc-25, but I've tried the most recent dev version(4.0-7636 as I type this) and it did the very same crash. The last stable version, 4.0.2, also has this issue. Lastly, it's worth noting that Guitar Hero 5, which runs on the same engine as Warriors of Rock, has this exact same problem in the same spot. I'm at a complete loss on anything else to try. Any fixes would be appreciated. |
